경상남도 거창에 계획한 목재문화 체험관 공모전 출품작이다. 주변의 명승지 수승대가 지닌 자연경관과 조화를 이루는 동시에, ‘목재 체험관’이라는 프로그램적 조건에 부합하도록 내·외장 모두 목재 마감으로 계획하였다. 경사지붕에 전통 기와의 형태를 현대적으로 재해석하여 적용함으로써 지역성과 새로운 이미지를 함께 담아냈다.

건물은 서로 다른 기능을 가진 세 개의 동으로 구성되며, 이를 하나의 긴 복도로 연결한 ㅌ자 형태의 평면 구조를 갖는다. 분절된 덩어리는 주변 풍경 속에 자연스럽게 스며들면서도, 방문객들에게 명확한 동선과 공간 경험을 제공한다.

This proposal was submitted for the competition of the Timber Culture Experience Centre in Geochang, Gyeongsangnam-do. The project was conceived to harmonise with the surrounding natural landscape of Susungdae, a renowned scenic site in the region. In response to the programmatic theme of a wood culture and experience facility, both the exterior and interior finishes were designed entirely in timber.

The roof reinterprets the traditional Korean tiled roof in a contemporary manner, integrating local identity with a modern architectural expression.

The building is composed of three separate volumes, each accommodating a different function. These are unified through a long central corridor, forming a 'E'-shaped plan structure. The fragmented massing allows the architecture to blend naturally into the landscape while providing clear circulation and a cohesive spatial experience for visitors.
