SLOW Architects 의 대표 이상훈은 영국 왕립건축사로, 서울과 런던을 기반으로 건축 실무를 이어가고 있습니다.

 

서울대학교 미술대학에서 금속공예를 전공하던 중, 영국 Architectural Association School of Architecture 으로 가서 건축설계를 공부하며 RIBA Part I & II 과정을 이수했습니다. 이후 Kingston University에서 Professional Practice 과정을 마치고 2006년 영국 건축사 (RIBA Part III)로 등록하였습니다.

 

런던의 Grimshaw Architects 와 Richard Rogers Partnership (현 RSHP)에서 실무 경험을 쌓았으며, 2009년부터 국내 여러 대학에서 건축설계를 강의해왔습니다. 가구부터 대규모 공공건축에 이르기까지 폭넓은 스케일의 프로젝트를 수행해왔으며, 시간이 지나도 가치가 유지되는 건축을 지향합니다.

 

Sang Hoon Lee is the Principal Architect of SLOW Architects and a Chartered Architect (RIBA), working between Seoul and London.

 

He initially studied Metal Craft at Seoul National University before moving to the UK to pursue architectural design at the Architectural Association School of Architecture, completing RIBA Part I & II. He later earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Practice in Architecture at Kingston University and became a registered architect in the UK in 2006 (RIBA Part III).

He gained professional experience at Grimshaw Architects and Richard Rogers Partnership (now RSHP) in London. Since 2009, he has also taught architectural design at several universities in Korea, including Sungkyunkwan, Kookmin, Hongik, and Korea University. With design experience ranging from furniture to large-scale public projects such as airport terminals, he strives to create architecture that maintains its value and continues to shine over time.
